    Coming from Munich, Deining is the first town in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen. The most beautiful view of Deining and the entire Alpine panorama can be enjoyed from the popular Ludwigshöhe, whose small road leads directly to Deining.

    The special thing about Deining is the high recreational value as well as the peace and relaxation that this enchanting place radiates. Many people are particularly fascinated by the Deininger Weiher pond due to its special fauna and flora. In summer, you can take a wonderful swim in this moorland pond. The Isar can also be reached in just a few minutes. The Pupplinger Au nature reserve, not far from Deining, is home to the largest snow heath pine forest outside the Alps. A beautiful cycle path also leads through the Pupplinger Au, which starts at the Isar canal at the Mühltal inn and runs along the Isar past the Bruckenfischer and Aumühle inns. The Isar raft trips from Wolfratshausen to Munich are also popular in summer. For an extended swimming experience in Lake Starnberg, you need about 25 minutes by car from Deining.

    Deining is also an ideal starting point for golf enthusiasts. The Munich Golf Club and the Munich Riedhof Golf Club are both less than five kilometers away. For winter sports enthusiasts, the Brauneck ski area near Lenggries is only around 45 kilometers away.

The nearest elementary school are in Egling and Straßlach, secondary schools in Wolfratshausen and Geretsried and grammar schools in Grünwald, Oberhaching and Geretsried.
