The Isar can also be reached in just a few minutes. The Pupplinger Au nature reserve, not far from Deining, is home to the largest snow heath pine forest outside the Alps. A beautiful cycle path also leads through the Pupplinger Au, which starts at the Isar canal at the Mühltal inn and runs along the Isar past the Bruckenfischer and Aumühle inns. The Isar raft trips from Wolfratshausen to Munich are also popular in summer. For an extended swimming experience in Lake Starnberg, you need about 25 minutes by car from Deining.
